About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) to join our mission-critical infrastructure team in Jakarta. The successful candidate will lead and manage electrical commissioning activities throughout the full lifecycle of data center projects, from design review through integrated systems testing and final handover.
This role requires strong expertise in electrical systems, commissioning methodologies, testing procedures, and data center operational requirements. The candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure all systems are commissioned safely and perform according to design and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Review project documentation including design drawings, specifications, Basis of Design (BOD), Owner Project Requirements (OPR), method statements, and commissioning checklists.
- Conduct commissionability reviews from concept design through project handover.
- Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and testing strategies.
- Prepare and review Level 2 to Level 5 commissioning scripts and test sheets.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders throughout project execution.
- Lead commissioning and witnessing activities for electrical infrastructure systems.
- Verify functionality and performance of medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Conduct integrated systems testing (IST) and failure scenario testing.
- Validate system performance, efficiency, capacity, and operational readiness.
- Ensure successful completion of electrical and ELV testing, TCCF, authority inspections, and final acceptance activities.
- Oversee documentation closeout and handover to operations teams and end users.
Required Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, construction, commissioning, or project delivery.
- Minimum 6 years of direct experience commissioning data center facilities.
- Strong understanding of mission-critical electrical infrastructure.

- MV/LV Power Distribution
- UPS Systems
- Generators
- Switchgear
- Protection Systems
- Electrical Automation
- Proven experience conducting Short Circuit Coordination Studies for MV and LV systems.
- Familiarity with:
- NETA
- IEC
- IEEE
- Local electrical standards
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

- Experience in large-scale hyperscale or colocation data centers
- Experience working with international EPCs, consultants, or commissioning agents
