Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Commercial Training & Development Supervisor to bridge the gap between our commercial objectives and the capabilities of our customer-facing teams (Beauty Advisors, Sales Field Team & Account Management). This role is responsible to diagnose performance gaps, develop learning solutions, and directly measure their impact on key commercial metrics. You will be the key link in ensuring our teams have the skills, knowledge, and tools required to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Assessment

  • BA Assessment: Create a capability matrix of current Beauty Advisor (BA) competencies, measure and optimize BA productivity, including support in BA recruitment.
  • Sales Field Assessment: Identify capability gaps and improvement opportunities within the sales field team.

2. Instructional Design & Solution Development (The Design & Build Phase)

  • Curriculum Architecture: Design, develop, and continuously update a comprehensive commercial curriculum covering consultative selling, product mastery, negotiation, competitive positioning, and customer relationship management.
  • Content Development: Create engaging training materials across multiple learning modalities, including instructor-led training (ILT/vILT), e-learning modules, interactive workshops, job aids, playbooks, and certification programs.
  • Process Improvement: Document and improve commercial processes (such as sales methodology and onboarding ramp-up time) and embed them into structured training programs.

3. Delivery & Facilitation (The Deliver Phase)

  • Facilitation: Deliver impactful training sessions for commercial teams, ranging from new hire onboarding to advanced and role-specific programs.
  • Coaching & Reinforcement: Provide one-on-one and small group coaching to reinforce learning and support the application of new skills in real business situations.
  • Change Management: Act as a change agent in rolling out new tools, processes, and strategic initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption through structured training.

4. Evaluation & Impact Measurement (The Measure Phase)

  • Define Success Metrics: Establish KPIs for all training initiatives and directly link them to business outcomes, such as win rates, average deal size, customer retention, and onboarding ramp time.
  • Monitoring Capabilities: Create post-training scorecards for BA and Sales Field areas and monitor monthly BA KPIs.
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present regular performance and ROI reports of training initiatives to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial training, sales enablement, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proven business analysis skills, including needs assessment, process mapping, and requirements gathering.
  • Strong commercial acumen with solid understanding of sales cycles, sales methodologies (e.g. MEDDIC, Challenger Sale), Beauty Advisor management, and key sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Proven background and experience in the beauty industry is a must.
