POSITION INTRODUCTORY:
We are seeking a vibrant, energetic, and skilled Color Matching Print Quality Specialist with a strong background in color matching, drawdown preparation, and press-side quality control. The ideal candidate will support our high-end cigarette packaging production lines and help elevate quality standards across multiple printing platforms
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Perform accurate color matching and drawdown preparation.
- Conduct press checks across various machines including Offset Press (Sheetfed), Gravure Press, Digital One and Flexographic Press
- Use and interpret readings from density meters and spectrophotometers to ensure color accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with press operators and production teams to troubleshoot and maintain color quality throughout print runs.
- Review proofs and printed output against customer expectations and brand guidelines
- Ensure compliance with packaging quality control requirements, including registration, color uniformity, trapping, and print defects.
- Support the implementation of cigarette packaging methods and standards.
- Provide feedback to the QC and Prepress teams to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Calculate ink usage for the press.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree or Diploma in Printing Technology or related field.
- Solid experience or technical understanding of Offset, Gravure, Flexo, and Digital printing processes.
- Strong skill in color theory, ink mixing, and substrate behaviour.
- Familiarity with ISO color standards, color profiles, and quality benchmarks in the packaging industry.
- Proficient in handling color measurement tools (densitometer, spectrophotometer).
- Able to read and communicate in English effectively (spoken and written).
- Energetic, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong desire to grow and lead.
- Strong quality control mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to high-standard cigarette packaging production
OTHER
- Hands-on experience with cigarette packaging or luxury packaging production.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
