Job Description

We're looking for a Collection Manager to lead our collection strategy and execution. This role is perfect for someone who combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership, and who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in collection strategy.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a collection team.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

  • Strategic Collection Expertise
  • Proficient in bucket segmentation (D1–30, D31–60, etc.).
  • Develop & implement contact strategies tailored to delinquency stages.
  • Strong knowledge of PTP tracking, broken promises, roll rates, and recovery metrics.
  • Ability to prioritize accounts based on risk and recovery potential.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation
  • Resourceful in skip tracing and handling uncontactable borrowers.
  • Propose creative, area-specific, or borrower-specific tactics.
  • Revise SOPs, scripts, and escalation logic to optimize outcomes.
  • Adapt quickly to dynamic environments and pilot programs.
  • Tech-Savvy Operations
  • Experience with CMS, CRM, LMS, or auto-dialer systems.
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with mobile collection apps, geo-tagging, and digital tracking tools.
  • Ability to interpret dashboards for performance insights.
  • Comfort with digital tools such as WhatsApp automation, call recordings, and field routing.
  • Operational Leadership & Teamwork
  • Drive daily call/visit targets across all delinquency buckets.
  • Coordinate and track performance of field agents.
  • Collaborate closely with credit, risk, and legal teams on escalated cases.
  • Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and SOP compliance.
  • Vendor & External Partner Management
  • Maintain strong networks with collection agencies (especially across Jabodetabek, Java, etc.).
  • Experienced in onboarding and managing third-party vendors.
  • Skilled in fee negotiations, SLA management, and benchmarking performance.
  • Act as the liaison between internal teams and outsourced partners.
  • Communication & Negotiation
  • Strong persuasive and empathetic communication skills.
  • Skilled in negotiating repayment plans and structured settlements.
  • Handle irate or uncooperative borrowers calmly and professionally.
