Role Purpose
The Cluster Operations Lead – ICT isresponsible for end-to-end operational performance, technical reliability, andgovernance of ICT infrastructure across multiple data centre sites within adefined cluster. The role combines strong hands-on technical expertise in datacenter technology operations with leadership of site and cluster operations toensure high availability, performance, and compliance with client andorganizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- ICT Operations & Service Continuity
- Lead incident, problem, and changemanagement aligned to ITIL practices
- Troubleshoot complex, non-standard faultsacross servers, networks, and systems
- Support root cause analysis and implementpreventive measures
- Ensure BCP/DR plans are maintained andtested
- Technical Leadership & EngineeringOversight
- Act as technical authority for ICTsystems and infrastructure decisions
- Provide hands-on expertise in serverhardware, GPU infrastructure, Linux systems, and network environments
- Oversee lifecycle management, upgrades,and technical standards adherence
- Maintain accurate system documentationand asset records
- Cluster Operations & Governance
- Coordinate operations across multipledata center sites
- Drive operational governance, changecontrol, and escalation management
- Optimize DCIT operational processes anddrive continuous improvement
- Support commissioning, handover, andlarge-scale data center delivery
- Team Leadership & CapabilityBuilding
- Lead and develop technical teams acrosssites
- Define KPIs, assign tasks, and ensureeffective workforce planning
- Provide technical training, mentoring,and capability development
- Ensure effective escalation paths andcoverage models
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary ICT interface for clients,vendors, and auditors
- Collaborate with Facilities, Security,and project teams
- Manage regional initiatives involvingmultiple teams and stakeholders
- Risk, Compliance & Security
- Ensure cybersecurity, patching, andaccess controls are enforced
- Support audits, risk assessments, andcompliance activities
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong hands-on experience in data centerICT environments
- Deep knowledge of server hardware, GPUdevices, and Linux systems
- Strong understanding of large-scalenetwork architecture and troubleshooting
- Proven experience in managing multi-siteoperations and teams
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, anddecision-making capabilities
- Experience in data center commissioningand operations optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, orrelated field (preferred)
- ITIL certification or equivalentoperational framework knowledge
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g.,CCNP, CISSP, VMware, Microsoft, AWS) are advantageous
Experience Level
- 8–12+ years in ICT/data center operations
- 3–5+ years in leadership roles managingcomplex or regional operations
