Location Overview

Join our team in Amankila. Claiming a breathtaking stretch of coastline on the Lombok Strait, Amankila rests on a lush hillside beneath sacred Mount Agung. Connected by frangipani-lined walkways through the treetops, stilted suites offer spectacular views high on the hillside, while a three-tier infinity pool cascades at the property's heart and the Beach Club leads to a private black-sand beach.

The Cluster Director of Human Resources Indonesia is responsible for overseeing and supporting HR operations across multiple luxury hotel properties in Indonesia. This role ensures the effective execution of HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's global standards while meeting local business and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with property HR leaders and General Managers, the role provides strategic guidance, drives consistency in HR practices, and fosters a high-performance, values-driven workplace culture. Acting as a key liaison between regional HR and hotel operations, the Cluster Director of Human Resources plays a critical role in compliance, talent management, employee engagement, and HR excellence across the cluster.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Director of Human Resources in implementing regional HR strategies across assigned properties.
  • Act as the primary HR partner for property HR leaders and General Managers within the cluster.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure alignment with global and regional standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for senior leadership roles (Excom level and above).
  • Partner with property HR teams to drive employee engagement, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Advise on employee relations matters, grievances, and disciplinary processes, escalating complex issues as required.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to identify training needs and support leadership development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws, HR audits, and risk management requirements across all properties.
  • Support compensation, benefits, salary reviews, bonus processes, and workforce planning activities.
  • Provide HR support for new hotel openings, including recruitment, onboarding, and coordination with corporate HR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 57 years of progressive HR experience, including 23 years in a leadership role.
  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality and/or a multi-property HR environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and labour regulations in Indonesia.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Indonesia and legal right to work in the country.
