Job Summary
As a Cloud Security Specialist, you are responsible for securing cloud infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on protecting cloud environments from security threats by implementing security controls, monitoring risks, ensuring compliance, and applying best practices in cloud security architecture. You will work closely with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure Azure resources are secure, resilient, and compliant with security standards.
Job DesJcription Cloud Security (Azure)
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for Microsoft Azure environments.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations.
- Manage identity and access security using Azure AD, RBAC, MFA, and Conditional Access.
- Implement and maintain network security (NSG, Azure Firewall, WAF, Private Endpoint).
- Use Microsoft Defender for Cloud and security monitoring tools to detect and respond to incidents.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with security standards and policies (ISO 27001, SOC 2, internal policies).
- Perform risk assessments, security reviews, and remediation planning for Azure resources.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to embed security best practices.
- Support incident response and investigation related to cloud security issues.
- Document security architecture, procedures, and security findings.
Requirements
Technical Skills
Requirements Cloud Security (Azure)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, storage, and identity).
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles (shared responsibility model, zero trust).
- Hands-on experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access.
- Knowledge of Azure network security (NSG, Firewall, WAF, VPN, Private Endpoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, SIEM, or cloud security monitoring tools.
- Understanding of cyber security fundamentals: IAM, encryption, vulnerability management, logging & monitoring.
- Familiar with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Benchmark is a plus).
General Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related fields.
- Experience in cloud security, cyber security, or infrastructure security roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain security risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g. AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, Security+).
