Cloud Platform Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Translate architecture designs into production-ready Terraform templates for cloud platform, infrastructure, and network
• Provision and test environments entirely through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Build the infrastructure CI/CD pipeline on GitLab/Bitbucket/Atlantis that serves as the standard path for every change
• Support projects end to end — from requirements and design, through testing, to cutover
• Act as L2 support when things do not behave as they should, and make sure postmortems produce fixes, not just documents
• Provide technical support to Application teams on troubleshooting and cloud service clarification

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology, with 3+ years in a similar role
• At least 2 yearsof hands-on experience building on Google Cloud Platform, and experience with Terraform/OpenTofu/CloudFormation, Bitbucket/Git/GitLab/GiHub, Python/Shell, as well as Linux and Windows Server
• Knowledge of managed container platforms — Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or Red Hat OpenShift
• Solid understanding of the service delivery life cycle, particularly in IT Infrastructure
• Familiarity with Incident & Problem Management frameworks and processes
