Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer (Contract – Remote)

We're partnering with an innovation group in the Middle East that is incubating a next-generation data & AI organisation supporting multiple large-scale enterprises across different sectors.

This is a contract role suited for an Infrastructure / Cloud Engineer who enjoys building, running, and optimising modern cloud and data platforms in a fast-moving environment.

Role Details

• Contract: 5 months (initial)
• Start date: February
• Work setup: Fully remote
• Working hours: UAE timezone (GMT+4)

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, security)
• Implement and optimise Snowflake environments (warehouses, databases, access controls, performance tuning)
• Support MDM platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability and alignment with enterprise data governance
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or similar)
• Automate deployments, monitoring, backups, and alerting
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud and data-platform incidents
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and MDM teams on end-to-end data solutions
• Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and best practices

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience administering Snowflake
• Exposure to MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Profisee, Pimcore, or similar)
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and best practices
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is a plus
