Job Description
Role Summary
The Clinical Sales role is a field-based position responsible for driving consumables sales and clinical adoption across Olympus's Surgical product portfolio in Indonesia, with a primary focus on Urology. Working closely with distributors, key accounts, and medical professionals, this position ensures that clinical value is effectively communicated to drive revenue growth and market development. This role is directly accountable for achieving the annual sales target and consumable revenue target set by the company.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Sales Enablement
- Provide clinical application support to distributors and end-users across the Surgical and Urology portfolio.
- Follow up on sales prospects and support distributors in closing deals by delivering product demonstrations and clinical evidence.
- Conduct in-theatre and OPD clinical support sessions to drive procedural adoption.
- Prepare and deliver product presentations to physicians, clinical staff, and hospital procurement teams.
Key Account Management
- Manage relationships with key accounts including teaching hospitals and major private hospitals across Indonesia.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities through proactive outreach and customer engagement.
- Build long-term clinical partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and clinical champions.
Product Focus
- Drive consumables sales and champion strategic Olympus products including OTV-S700 (Surgical Imaging), Soltive (Lithotripsy), TUR (Transurethral Resection), and Powerseal (Vessel Sealing).
- Stay current on product updates, clinical literature, and competitive landscape to effectively position Olympus solutions.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the internal marketing team and distributor to ensure clinical activities are aligned with sales targets.
- Support sales team in presentations and negotiations with hospitals and clinics.
Market Development & Reporting
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity within the Indonesian Surgical and Urology landscape, developing insights to inform territory strategy.
- Track activity against sales targets and provide regular updates to the President Director.
- Responsible for achieving the annual sales target / consumable revenue target set by the company.
- Identify competitive risks and opportunities in key accounts and escalate as needed.
- Contribute to territory planning and strategic account mapping.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in medical device sales, with a focus on consumables.
- Sales experience of surgical products for laparoscopy, urology, orthopedic or cardiovascular products.
- Prior experience selling urology is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of working with hospitals and distributor networks in Indonesia.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical acumen with the ability to communicate technical product value to medical professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Indonesia.
