Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Data Governance Specialist to support the development and implementation of clinical data governance practices across the organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, standardization, and appropriate management of clinical data to support clinical operations, analytics, interoperability, and data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain clinical data governance policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain clinical data definitions, metadata, data dictionaries, and related governance documentation.
  • Support clinical data standardization and interoperability initiatives across healthcare information systems.
  • Define and monitor clinical data quality requirements, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with clinical, IT, data, and business stakeholders to establish and maintain data governance practices.
  • Support the adoption and implementation of healthcare data standards, clinical terminologies, and interoperability frameworks.
  • Identify and address clinical data quality and governance issues and recommend appropriate improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure clinical data governance practices are aligned with applicable regulatory, compliance, and organizational requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum experience in clinical data governance, healthcare data management, clinical informatics, data management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, data standardization, and healthcare data management principles.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards and clinical terminologies, such as FHIR, LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, ICD-9-CM, and KFA.
  • Understanding of healthcare data interoperability and integration is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical, technology, data, and business stakeholders.
