Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Client-Facing Backend Engineer with a strong focus on backend development to join our growing team. As a Client-Facing Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining their software applications. You will work closely with our client and be expected to drive their technical meetings and discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive technical meetings and discussions with US clients
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Build reliable, secure, and high-performance microservices.
- Develop integrations with third-party platforms and internal AI services.
- Design and optimize databases, caching strategies, and messaging systems.
- Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance through monitoring and testing.
- Collaborate closely with Product, AI, and Frontend teams to deliver features quickly.
- Participate in architectural discussions and make technical decisions that balance speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system performance.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a software engineer
- Must have hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar)
- Business level English Proficiency
- Flexibility to work following US timezone
- Proactively takes initiative and communicates clearly with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong technical skills in backend development, including proficiency in languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, or Node.js
- Indonesian Citizen
