Roles and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of the Compliance Reporting Analyst is the timely and accurate delivery of the daily mandate reports which includes the coding of client mandates into rules, review and investigation of the resulting potential violations and escalation of the same to Client within the agreed delivery date.
In addition, the Analyst should:

  • Prepare file in accordance with internal control checklist for items applicable to that particular portfolio
  • Investigate, resolve and substantiate key differences in reconciliations between JPM vs fund manager
  • Keep adequate documentation on file to fully explain and support all items, particularly those, which would be deemed unusual or one-offs
  • Complete accurate and legible files within deadlines set by Managers in order to fulfill production requirements
  • Ensure documentation is completed and signed off as per requirements
  • Demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge of various investment instruments and markets (stock exchanges) and there effect on the portfolio's valuation
  • Demonstrate ability and interest in understanding client's account structure i.e. its and various types of portfolio's, their deliverables, and some of their specific requirements
  • Ability to take on stretch roles and projects as deemed required by the manager

  • At least 3 years work experience in Banking/Finance or related industries
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Fair understanding of the Capital Markets and related products
  • Knowledge of the processes of a fund's Custodian Bank and Investment Manager
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo
  • Good Time Management Skills - Ability to prioritize
  • Implemented process improvement/robotics
  • Graduate/Post Graduate with at least 3 years work experience in Banking/Finance or related industry
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and their accounting treatment is a plus
  • Coding or report writing experience, ideally with logic-based database systems
  • Excellent financial market and instrument knowledge
  • Compliance reporting product knowledge
