Mandarin Teacher
Job Description
Global Prestasi School is looking for a passionate, professional, and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Mandarin language lessons, supporting students language development, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages students to communicate confidently in Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mandarin language lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach Mandarin language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Develop appropriate lesson plans, learning materials, activities, and assessments.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate students different learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor and assess students learning progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for Mandarin language assessments and examinations, where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and learning progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, coordinators, and other school staff to support students overall development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students academic progress when required.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development programs, and other school events.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Mandarin language program.
- Uphold the school's policies, professional standards, and core values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Literature, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Mandarin, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience teaching students in an international or multicultural environment is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to create engaging and student-centered learning experiences.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about education and committed to students academic and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications
- HSK/HSKK or other relevant Mandarin language teaching certification.
- Experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum or an international curriculum.
- Experience preparing students for Mandarin proficiency examinations.
- Experience teaching Mandarin to non-native speakers.
