The
Child Health Manager will be pivotal in positioning
Tentang Anak as the leading expert-driven company championing interdisciplinary excellence. Serving as both manager and individual contributor, this role strengthens the organization's impact through integrated, evidence-based research initiatives while ensuring accuracy, credibility, and societal relevance across all outputs. Acting as the
evidence backbone, the Manager provides the research, data, and analysis that underpin strategic decisions and external positioning.
Scope Highlights
- Research & Evidence Generation Lead literature reviews, study design, data collection & analysis (quantitative, qualitative, epidemiological, or clinical), translation of findings into practical recommendations.
- Scientific Rigor & Compliance Ensure research outputs meet high standards of credibility, validity, and ethical compliance.
- Innovation & Forward Thinking Explore and evaluate new tools, digital health technologies, and methodologies to advance child health outcomes.
- Knowledge Translation Synthesize and translate research findings into actionable knowledge products (publications, briefs, reports, guidelines).
- Integration & Dissemination Embed research evidence into organizational strategies, products, and interventions; present findings at professional forums.
- Innovation & Forward Thinking Identify, test, and evaluate innovative tools, methodologies, or digital health solutions to improve child health outcomes.
- Capacity Building Mentor junior researchers to foster a culture of innovation and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Medical Doctor (MD) degree is mandatory. A Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Child Development, or a related field (PhD preferred) will be considered an advantage.
- Experience: 4+ years of applied research in health, epidemiology, child development, or social sciences, including study design, data analysis, and publication. Proven ability to conduct systematic reviews or meta-analyses.
- Research Rigor & Ethics: Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing research projects (quantitative, qualitative, epidemiological, or clinical studies) with methodological rigor and full ethical compliance.
- Knowledge Translation & Impact: Strong skills in translating research into actionable knowledge products (briefs, reports, guidelines) and integrating evidence into programs, products, or interventions.
- Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Work: Experience working across disciplines (healthcare, education, technology, policy) and managing multi-stakeholder collaborations. Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
- Innovation & Forward Thinking: Proven ability to identify, test, and scale innovative tools, methodologies, or technologies to improve child health outcomes.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to mentor junior staff or interns, fostering a culture of evidence-based practice and proactive problem-solving.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex research clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
