Chief Trainer (WWTP)

About the Role

We are looking for a Chief Trainer to lead the training and knowledge transfer for WWTP operations and maintenance teams.

The role covers both Testing & Commissioning (T&C) support and O&M training, with a focus on ensuring operators are equipped to operate and maintain the plant safely, effectively, and in compliance with applicable effluent standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the training team throughout the T&C and O&M training phases.
• Support Dry Run, Wet Run, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Develop and deliver training on WWTP processes, equipment, instrumentation, and plant operations.
• Train operators on O&M procedures, process control, sampling, chemical handling, and monitoring systems.
• Monitor daily plant operations and provide guidance to ensure stable and efficient performance.
• Provide troubleshooting support for process, mechanical, and electrical issues.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders to resolve site issues.
• Review equipment manuals and ensure proper operation and maintenance practices are followed.
• Support spare parts, consumables, maintenance, and equipment replacement activities.
• Lead emergency response and provide regular updates on plant operating conditions.
• Prepare training plans, reports, presentations, and other required documentation.
• Supervise and mentor the training team, including expatriate and local trainers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Process Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of total work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in WWTP commissioning and/or O&M management.
• Experience with MBR and BNR is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in operator training, coaching, or mentoring.
• Good understanding of WWTP processes, equipment, chemicals, and plant operations.
• Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and PDF editing tools.
