Purpose of Job:
- To ensure Waterbom Bali operates with discipline, clarity, structure, and sustainabilitywhile preserving and strengthening the company culture that has defined the brand since 1993. The COO is responsible for executing the CEO's strategic vision through the Annual Program Plan, ensuring operational excellence, interdepartmental alignment, and a healthy, thriving workplace culture.

- GM, Operations, HR, Marketing, Sales, and Internal Control.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
KEY FUNCTION:
- Ensure execution of the Annual Program Plan.
- Install systems and structure.
- Strengthen and protect culture.
- Ensure systematic daily operations through the GM.
- Oversee Annual Safety Audit with GM.
- Align department and elevate performance.
CLOSE COORDINATION WITH:
- The CEO will work closely with the Strategic Advisor on the implementation of systems and plans.
- The CFE (OPEX, CAPEX, budgeting, procurement timing, A&G, and Legal Department).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic & Annual Program Oversight.
- Execute the Annual Plan approved by the CEO.
- Ensure all departments meet timelines, deadlines, deliverables, and quality benchmarks.
- Align all teams around annual priorities: sustainability, guest experience, and operational improvements.
- Convert strategic direction into departmental actions and measurable outcomes.
System Building & Operational Structure
- Ensure strong systems are established and functioning in every department.
- Ensure GM runs operations systematically using SOPs, checklists, and structured communications.
- Introduce or upgrade digital/manual systems that enhance performance.
- Guarantee systems remain simple, effective, and consistently applied.
- Odoo improvement plan (business management software suite, including modules for customer relationship management, e-commerce, and revenue optimization)
Culture Stewardship (Heavily Emphasized)
- Protect Waterbom's philosophical values: humility, responsibility, warmth, and care.
- Strengthen culture as the organizational scales - never compromise workplace spirit.
- Correct cultural breaches quickly and clearly.
- Collaborate closely with HR to ensure a healthy, empowering environment.
- Preserve Waterbom's soul while installing structure and discipline.
Safety, Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Oversee the Annual Safety Audit jointly with the GM.
- Ensure all safety, regulatory, and risk standards are up to date.
- Strengthen internal control systems.
- Anticipate risks and guide preventive measures across all departments.
Performance Management & KPI Discipline
- Design departmental KPI's aligned with the Annual Program Plan.
- Ensure accountability at all levels - from department heads to supervisors.
- Monitor operational, financial, and guest-related indicators.
- Create a culture of clarity, execution, and follow-through.
Departmental Alignment & Leadership Development
- Lead HR, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Internal Control & GM Operations.
- Remove silo mentality & reinforce organizational unity.
- Mentor department heads, build leadership pipelines, and support internal promotions.
- Strengthen cross-functional communication.
Financial Stewardship & Commercial Growth
- Partner with the CFO on budgeting, CAPEX / OPEX, and ROI decisions.
- Support revenue strategy (pricing, yield management, events, tenant performance)
- Balance financial efficiency with guest experience quality
- Project financial accountability, continuously making sure projects are on time and within preset budgets.
Sustainability Leadership
- Partner with the CEO & Eco Champion team to drive environmental commitments.
- Integrate ESG into all operations.
- Oversee water, energy, and waste management improvements.
CEO Partnership
- Serve as the CEO's operational right hand.
- Provide structured reports, solutions, and recommendations.
- Strengthen long-term planning, partnerships, and project execution.
- Uphold the founder's vision while maturing operations.
