The OpportunityWe are partnering with a leading and established consumer finance business in Indonesia to appoint a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead a broad and increasingly strategic operations agenda.
This is a senior leadership appointment with significant responsibility for the performance, scalability and effectiveness of the organisation's operations.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will lead a broad portfolio of operational functions while playing a key role in the company's continued transformation and evolution.
The mandate combines operational leadership, organisational effectiveness and transformation, making this an opportunity for an experienced operator who can both run a complex organisation and lead it through significant change.
The RoleThe COO will oversee a broad operations portfolio covering customer-facing operations, operational support, customer experience, commercial operations and transformation.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the organisation is able to scale effectively while improving service quality, productivity, customer experience and cost efficiency.
A significant part of the mandate will be to identify opportunities to improve the way the organisation operates including process redesign, automation, operating-model evolution and organisational change.
The COO will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to translate the company's strategy into strong operational execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and execute the overall operations strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.
- Provide leadership across a broad portfolio of operational functions and teams.
- Strengthen operational performance, governance and accountability across the organisation.
- Drive continuous improvement across service quality, productivity, turnaround times and customer experience.
- Lead major operational transformation and business improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation and technology enablement.
- Drive workforce productivity and operational cost efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement improvements to the organisation's operating model and structure.
- Ensure appropriate operational controls, risk management and regulatory standards are maintained.
- Build, develop and align a strong team of senior operations leaders.
- Work closely with Commercial, Risk, Finance, HR, Technology, Compliance and other stakeholders to deliver enterprise priorities.
- Partner with the CEO on longer-term organisational, operational and transformation priorities.
The ProfileWe are looking for an experienced and well-rounded operations leader with the breadth and maturity to lead a complex, large-scale organisation.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience in operations or a closely related environment.
- Experience leading multiple operational functions, rather than responsibility for only a single specialist area.
- Experience managing large teams and complex operational environments, ideally at a scale of thousands of employees.
- A strong track record of improving operational performance, productivity and customer experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading transformation, restructuring, process improvement or operating-model change.
- Strong understanding of technology, automation and process optimisation.
- The ability to balance operational discipline with a strong commercial and customer mindset.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to work effectively with a CEO and senior leadership team.
- A proven ability to lead through complexity, change and organisational growth.
