Forvis Mazars in Indonesia is looking for aChief Accountant to be seconded to our client office for 12 months.
Key responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK/IFRS.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee all general ledger functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions across all accounting areas.
- Monitor and maintain effective internal control systems and policies.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and key financial documentation.
Management Support
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial and operational reports for management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in FMCG or a fast-paced multinational environment is highly preferred.
- External auditor experience is a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/PSAK).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
