Job Overview:

We are looking for a mature and experienced Accountant to manage the accounting, tax, and statutory compliance matters of three entities within the group in Indonesia.

The role will primarily focus on full-set accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, Indonesian tax compliance, statutory and regulatory compliance (including BPJS and manpower reporting), audit coordination, and day-to-day finance operations across the three entities.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, independent, responsible, and detail-oriented, with strong working knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (PSAK, PPh, PPN) and the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines effectively. Experience in FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Multi-Entity Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for three entities.
  • Handle full-set accounting and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK / SAK).
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain the general ledger and perform regular account and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for each entity.
  • Manage accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, accounts payable, payments, and expense claims.
  • Monitor bank accounts, cash balances, and cash flow requirements.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory balances where applicable.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents in line with Indonesian statutory record-keeping requirements.

2. Tax & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage Indonesian tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements for the three entities, including Corporate Income Tax (PPh Badan), Withholding Tax (PPh 21/23/26), and Value Added Tax (PPN).
  • Prepare, review, and submit monthly (SPT Masa) and annual (SPT Tahunan) tax returns via DJP Online / Coretax, including e-Faktur and e-Bupot filings.
  • Ensure timely submission and payment of all tax and statutory obligations, including BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan contributions.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors (Konsultan Pajak), auditors, the local Tax Office (Kantor Pelayanan Pajak / KPP), and other relevant government authorities when required.
  • Coordinate tax audits (pemeriksaan pajak) and tax disputes, and provide supporting schedules and documentation.
  • Monitor changes in Indonesian accounting, tax, and labor regulations (including Ministry of Manpower and OSS/BKPM reporting requirements) and assess their impact on the entities.
  • Maintain proper tax records and supporting documentation in accordance with Indonesian statutory retention requirements.

3. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Coordinate annual statutory audits for the three entities in accordance with Indonesian regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents and respond to auditor queries.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Identify accounting and control issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with applicable Indonesian and group accounting standards.

4. FP&A / Business Finance — Good to Have

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities when required.
  • Assist with actual vs. budget and prior-year variance analysis.
  • Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning.
  • Provide financial insights to management when required.

5. Finance Operations & Process Improvement

  • Review and improve accounting processes across the three entities.
  • Support finance system and process improvements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of recurring finance activities.
  • Work closely with management and other departments on finance-related matters.
  • Perform other finance-related duties and projects assigned by management.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience in Indonesia, preferably with experience managing full sets of accounts.
  • Experience handling multiple entities is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK / SAK), general accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax compliance and statutory requirements, including PPh Badan, PPh 21/23/26, and PPN.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with e-Faktur, e-Bupot, DJP Online / Coretax, corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT (PPN), and other applicable taxes.
  • Brevet A & B tax certification is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors (Konsultan Pajak), and the local Tax Office (KPP).
  • Experience in a commercial/company environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple entities, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Mature, dependable, and accountable, with sound professional judgment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and good command of written and spoken English, given regular liaison with Indonesian tax authorities and group headquarters.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, honesty, and trustworthiness.
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership beyond routine accounting responsibilities.
