Chemistry Teacher

With 20 branches operating throughout Jakarta and Tangerang as of March 2012, Sinotif provides accessible, high-quality academic support. Each learning center, called a Re-education Center, is designed to help learners revisit and strengthen their understanding of key STEM subjects. Students progress from not understanding to understanding, then to fully mastering Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with solid foundational skills. Role Description The Chemistry Teacher will deliver engaging, concept-focused Chemistry lessons to students at various grade levels and curricula, ensuring a strong understanding of fundamental principles. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta, Indonesia, working closely with learners in a classroom and small-group tutoring environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible way, and guiding students through problem-solving and practice exercises. The role involves assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating with other educators to align teaching methods with Sinotif's Re-education Center approach. The Chemistry Teacher will also participate in academic meetings, contribute to curriculum refinement, and support a positive, disciplined, and motivating learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Chemistry Education, with a solid understanding of Physics concepts relevant to school curricula.
• Ability to develop structured, student-centered Lesson Planning tailored to multiple grade levels and curriculum standards.
• Demonstrated Teaching skills, including classroom management, individualized support, and use of varied instructional methods.
• Effective Communication skills for explaining abstract concepts clearly, engaging students, and collaborating with colleagues and families.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students in school-level Chemistry; familiarity with national, national plus, or international curricula is an advantage.
• Ability to use basic educational technology and digital resources to support instruction and practice.
• Patient, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset, with a commitment to helping students progress from basic understanding to mastery.
