Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure all chemical testing activities comply with the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements of ISO 17025.
- Develop, plan, and ensure that test methods are validated and/or verified in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements.
- Perform technical review of test data and reports before release to customers.
- Ensure measurement traceability through internal and external calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Ensure personnel understand and comply with quality requirements, including competence, confidentiality, and technical integrity.
- Ensure that equipment, reagents, and chemicals meet technical requirements and are safe to use.
- Verify laboratory performance through proficiency testing, internal comparisons, and external inter-laboratory comparisons according to the established schedule.
- Coordinate and supervise all chemical analysts activities related to raw materials, in-process production, finished products, and CIP processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance with procedures.
- Ensure consistent implementation of documentation across all laboratory staff.
- Coordinate and ensure that administrative tasks and chemical analysis reports are completed accurately, on time, and properly documented.
- Develop, review, and update SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), forms, and other quality documents.
- Monitor and ensure the availability of reagents for laboratory analysis.
- Plan operational activities and routine maintenance in accordance with established standards.
- Ensure the implementation of 5S, including preventive programs, cleanliness of chemical analysis facilities, and maintaining laboratory areas in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Comply with SOPs, work instructions, and laboratory area standards.
- Participate in improvement initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (FSSC 22000, ISO 17025, GMP, GLP, SJPH).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to support ongoing compliance with ISO 17025.
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Professional certification in Laboratory Quality Management or ISO/IEC 17025 is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in chemical laboratory operations, including a supervisory or coordinator role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Experience in analytical method validation and verification, proficiency testing, and laboratory quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, laboratory instrumentation, GMP, GLP, FSSC 22000, ISO/IEC 17025, and applicable food safety regulations.
- Understanding of measurement uncertainty, calibration, and measurement traceability principles.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and laboratory performance evaluation.
- Ability to develop, review, and maintain laboratory documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, forms, and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to coordinate laboratory analysts and oversee daily laboratory operations.
- Strong planning, organizing, and resource management skills to ensure timely testing and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage laboratory resources effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality, safety, and technical integrity.
