Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Investment Planning

  • In line with the development trends of Indonesia's new energy vehicle industry chain (TKDN policies, nickel smelting clusters, OEM layout for vehicles and batteries), coordinate with the Indonesia Country Representative to formulate medium- and long-term investment plans for charging stations / solar-storage-charging stations.
  • Take the lead in developing and participating in the overall planning and layout of charging station / solar-storage-charging station projects, including site selection, station construction plans, equipment selection and scheme design, ensuring project plans align with the company's development strategy and the needs of the Indonesian market.
  • Track the direction of Indonesia's new energy policies (TKDN local content requirements, tax incentives, procurement preferences of mining companies/public transport groups), and provide recommendations for adjusting investment strategies accordingly.

Project Development, Construction, and Full-Cycle Management

  • Project development and initiation: responsible for site selection, business negotiations, and acquisition of land/rooftop resources for microgrid projects at charging stations in target cities, mining areas, industrial parks, etc.
  • Investment evaluation: responsible for project feasibility studies, producing standardized deliverables such as feasibility study reports, site layout drawings, equipment selection lists, construction plans, and operation preparation plans; coordinate cross-functionally with internal departments (investment, engineering, commercial, compliance, finance, etc.) to drive project implementation.
  • Partner negotiations: negotiate cooperation models (joint ventures, leasing, EPC, etc.) with local state-owned enterprises (PLN, ANTAM/IBC), mining groups (Indika, Vale, Tsingshan affiliates, etc.), property owners, and industrial park developers, covering all investment-related business activities.
  • Project delivery: collaborate with the local delivery team and local contractors to control project schedule, quality, and costs.
  • Operations handover: work with the operations team to complete site connection, commissioning, trial operation, and official launch.

Ecosystem Partnership & Business Development

  • Maintain and expand relationships with local government authorities, state-owned enterprises, and industry key players (OEMs, battery manufacturers, mining companies, public transport groups) in Indonesia.
  • Lead or participate in negotiations and signing of strategic cooperation framework agreements with clients/partners.
  • Coordinate with the company's strategy/investment departments to engage with local Indonesian funds, industrial capital, and listed companies, exploring joint venture or M&A opportunities.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above (full-time, regular enrollment) in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Power Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or investment roles; preference for candidates with prior experience in new energy sales or investment project implementation in Indonesia (charging stations, solar-storage-charging, microgrids, etc.).
  • Project track record: At least 2 projects with sales or investment value exceeding RMB 5 million each, in which the candidate played a leading role.
  • Language: English and/or Indonesian as working languages (unobstructed business communication, email, meetings, negotiations); basic Chinese conversation skills.
  • Travel: Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with nationwide travel within Indonesia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales or investment projects in new energy (including charging stations, battery swap stations, solar-storage-charging, energy storage power stations, photovoltaic stations, etc.).
  • Possession of local Indonesian networks/resources (government, state-owned enterprises, overseas platforms of Chinese central SOEs, Chinese business chambers, local partners).
  • Familiarity with Indonesia's investment legal environment (OSS system, PMK foreign investment regulations, TKDN calculation, IBC and other national platform collaborations).
  • Experience with mining/industrial park microgrids and source-grid-load-storage integrated projects.
  • Daily communication skills in English and Indonesian, and basic conversational Chinese.

Competencies

  • Investment acumen: able to independently perform DCF and IRR calculations, with keen judgment on policy and market changes.
  • Negotiation skills: presence and technique to negotiate with senior management of SOEs, local tycoons, and multinational corporations.
  • Cross-cultural communication: respect for diversity and ability to build trust within local Indonesian teams.
