【Job Description】
- Local Channel Development & Management
- Responsible for channel expansion of SUUNTO smart sports watches in Jakarta and surrounding areas, focusing on developing partners in key channels:
-3C consumer electronics retailers: Erafone, Urban Republic, Digiplus, Digimap, Planet Gadget, etc.
-Sporting chain: Planet Sports, Sports Station, etc.
-Outdoor Equipment: Eiger, Arei Outdoor Gear, Consina Adventure, etc.
- Independently conduct business development (BD) to identify and secure local distributors that align with SUUNTO's premium and professional brand positioning.
- Achieve store distribution targets and negotiate sales contracts.
2. Distributor Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with local distributors in Indonesia to develop joint business plans and securing prime in-store placement and promotional support for SUUNTO.
- Manage distribution inventory (PSI), monitor product flow to prevent cross-territory selling (parallel imports), and ensure healthy stock levels.
3. Retail Excellence & Brand Presentation
- Oversee brand image and retail execution at stores (mono-brand stores, shop-in-shops, etc), ensuring that display fixtures and POSM materials comply with SUUNTO's global visual standards.
- Conduct regular store visits and provide product training (product features, competitor comparisons, sales pitches) to sales associates at key accounts to improve store productivity and conversion rates.
4. Local Marketing Activities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local campaigns in Jakarta and surrounding areas, such as new product launches, trail running sharing sessions, and triathlon experience camps.
5. Sales Planning & Competitor Analysis
- Develop sales forecasting and planning for the Indonesian market to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Regularly monitor local market dynamics (e.g., Garmin, Coros, Amazfit, Huawei, Shokz), including pricing strategies and channel policies.
- Provide regular reports on market trends.
【Qualifications & Requirements】
1. Experience & Network
- 5+ years of channel sales experience, preferably within the 3C electronics, sports, or outdoor consumer goods industries.
- Deep understanding of the retail landscape in Jakarta and major Indonesian cities.
- Strongly preferred: Candidates with existing connections to local digital lifestyle stores, sports retail chains, or outdoor specialty stores.
- Preferred: Experience working with local Indonesian distributors or managing the Indonesian market for international brand.
- Professional Skills
- Excellent business negotiation skills, with the ability to independently manage the entire sales cycle from client acquisition and contract negotiation to payment collection.
- Strong data analysis skills; proficient in MS Office (especially Excel for sales data analysis).
- Basic marketing mindset to guide distributors in executing localized promotional activities.
3. Language & Cultural Competence
- English & Bahasa Indonesia: Must be proficient in both languages.
- Familiarity with local Indonesian business laws, regulations, and business culture.
4. Personal Attributes
- Self-Motivated: Comfortable working in a home-office or remote setting, with a strong sense of purpose and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Willingness to Travel: Must be able and willing to travel frequently within Jakarta and across Indonesian cities for client development, store visits, and participation in local events and trade shows.
- Passionate for the Outdoors: Candidates who identify with the SUUNTO brand culture and are outdoor sports enthusiasts (running, hiking, swimming, cycling, etc.) are highly preferred.
