The Opportunity: UI-Daewoong Research Center
We are seeking a highly capable and driven professional to join our team as a Cell & Organoid Culture Research Manager at the UI-Daewoong Research Center.
In this role, you will play a key part in building and operating advanced cell and organoid-based experimental platforms to support drug screening and Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) research initiatives. You will lead the execution and optimization of organoid culture systems, oversee multi-modal experimental analyses (molecular, functional, and histological), and ensure the generation of high-quality, standardized data to support R&D decision-making.
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to end-to-end research workflows—from experimental design to data interpretation—while managing laboratory operations and supporting internal education and training programs. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and global experts to drive impactful research outcomes.

We're looking for a Cell & Organoid Culture Research Manager with the details below:
Key Responsibilities:
Managing & Guiding of below:
• Culture, maintain, and optimize Cells and organoids, including routine maintenance and quality monitoring.
• Conduct molecular and cellular assays and analyze results, including cell viability assays, qPCR, Western blot, ELISA, and flow cytometry (FACS).
• Perform metabolism and functional assays and analyze results (e.g., CYP3A4/CYP1A2 activity, urea production, bile acid production, ATP-based viability assays).
• Execute histological and imaging-based analyses and interpret results, including IF, IHC, ICG uptake/excretion, CDFDA staining, and other relevant tissue/marker staining.
• Maintain accurate experimental documentation and ensure data integrity and reproducibility in routine workflows.
• Support laboratory operations, including reagent preparation, equipment upkeep, and basic troubleshooting in a cell culture environment.
•Manage and conduct training activities as needed for the UI internal education program.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree or above in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in CRISPR-Cas9-based gene editing (KO/KI) and related analysis.
• Proven experience building and optimizing gene overexpression systems (lentivirus, plasmid transfection, or mRNA).
• Strong technical proficiency in cloning, Western blot, qPCR, and FACS, including data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with clonal selection (including limiting dilution) and establishment of stable cell lines.
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Demonstrated experience in biological laboratory operations, including experimental planning, documentation, and lab management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field.
• Prior experience with metabolism assays and functional readouts (e.g. CYP activities, urea/bile acid production, ATP-based viability).
• Experience with histology/immunostaining workflows (IF/IHC) and imaging-based analysis (e.g. ICG, CDFDA, etc.).
• Korean language skill (advantage)
• Experience supporting the operation and management of training programs.
