Camp Operational Manager

Position Overview

The Camp Operational Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of Green Camp Bali. This role is responsible for overseeing logistics, hospitality, safety, facilities and infrastructure, human resources coordination, budgeting, and operational excellence across all camp programs. The ideal candidate is an active, detail-oriented, proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment where education, sustainability, and hospitality intersect.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Logistics

  • Oversee all aspects of daily camp operations, including administration, accommodation, safety, transportation, facilities, kitchen, maintenance, IT and security.
  • Proactively manage the maintenance of the facility and ensure the functionality and the esthetic of the facility.
  • Oversee schedules and logistics for multi-day and day camp programs in collaboration with the program teams.
  • Ensure operational systems, procedures, and policies are efficient, scalable, and aligned with Green Camp's sustainability values.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to be on-site and actively engaged in day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee landscape planning, building and maintenance as well as operations.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support the operations and facility team, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with program facilitators, and administration to ensure operational readiness for each program.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, training, and performance reviews.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage operational budgets and expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Business department in maintaining cost efficiency in operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, and inventory management aligned with sustainability practices.

Safety & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the health and safety department to ensure the health and safety, and emergency protocols are implemented and followed across all activities and facilities.
  • Maintain compliance with Indonesian labor, health, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee risk management procedures and ensure readiness for emergency response.

Guest Experience & Quality Control

  • Anticipate and resolve operational challenges with creativity and professionalism.
  • Collect and act on feedback to continuously improve operational systems and service quality.

Sustainability & Innovation

  • Uphold and champion PT. Global Camp's commitment to sustainability in all operations.
  • Innovate operational practices that minimize environmental impact (e.g., waste reduction, energy efficiency, local sourcing).
  • Support Green Camp's community engagement and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred (not a must), Hospitality Management, Operations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, hospitality, or camp facility management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize resources.

Preference:

  • Experience in eco-hospitality, education, or sustainability-based organizations.
  • Knowledge of Indonesian labor and operational regulations.
  • Passion for environmental education, sustainability, and community engagement.
  • Experience in Project and facility management.
