Role Description

The Business Support Specialist will provide hands-on operational and administrative assistance to business units, focusing on process execution, data management, and cross-team coordination. This individual contributor role emphasizes precision, efficiency, and bilingual communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia to support seamless interactions with international teams, particularly in resource operations. Job Description

  • Execute daily administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and vendor coordination to support smooth departmental workflows.
  • Assist in procurement processes, inventory tracking, and expense reporting using ERP systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Provide bilingual support (English/Chinese) & Bahasa Indonesia for communications, such as drafting emails, translating operational reports, and preparing materials for HQ briefings.
  • Conduct basic data analysis and generate reports (e.g., weekly dashboards on KPIs, budget variances) using Excel or similar tools to aid decision-making.
  • Support cross-functional projects, including event logistics, new hire onboarding, and compliance checks for Indonesian regulations (e.g., labor and ESH guidelines).
  • Maintain organized records and databases, troubleshooting minor issues to minimize disruptions in resources, supply chain, and finance areas.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement small-scale process improvements, contributing to overall efficiency gains.
  • Uphold safety protocols, confidentiality, and a positive team dynamic through reliable individual contributions.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Management, Economic, Chemistry or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative, operational support, or business services roles in a corporate setting. Freshgraduates are welcome to apply.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia(conversational and written proficiency) critical for translating documents and liaising with overseas stakeholders. Mandarin Chinese language skills advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel for data handling).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to the resources/mining sector or multinational operations.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian business practices and basic project coordination.
  • Certification in office administration or data analysis (e.g., Google Data Analytics).
