We are looking for a seasoned Business Risk & Governance Manager to own and elevate our client non-financial and operational risk strategies. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership and Risk Committee, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, upgrading internal controls, and embedding a robust risk culture across all digital products and business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational and non-financial risks across the entire product lifecycle; continuously evaluate and redesign the company's frameworks for governance and control to stay ahead of shifting priorities.
- Collaborate closely with process owners to execute remediation plans, design control monitors, and ensure new workflows are thoroughly tested within business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits/reviews, track corrective actions, and seamlessly deconflict reviews across the Three Lines of Defence.
- Define guidance for newly released policies, monitor regulatory trends, and ensure the business strictly adheres to all applicable financial laws and business conduct standards.
- Complete high-quality risk profiles, treatment plans for material risk events, and comprehensive governance papers for executive committees.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 6–8+ years of solid experience in Risk, Governance, or Compliance within financial services. Deep expertise in Fintech, Digital Payments, or Digital Lending is highly advantageous.
- Strong mastery of operational risk management, including digital-related risks (technology risk, information security/ICS risk, and business resilience).
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with C-level stakeholders, product teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Data-driven mindset with experience analyzing risk metrics (losses, near-miss incidents) to diagnose issues quickly and foresee potential industry trends.
- Professional certifications in Risk Management will be highly regarded.
