Dashboard & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards using Looker and Tableau.
Data Modeling: Develop data models in Looker (LookML) and create reusable datasets to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Automation & Integration: Write Python scripts for report automation, simple ETL tasks, and external API integrations.
Collaboration: Work with the data engineering team to optimize data pipelines and with business users to provide data-driven insights for strategic decisions.
Documentation: Create comprehensive BI documentation, including data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and data flow diagrams.
Training & Enablement: Train business users on how to use dashboards and reports in a self-service manner.
Qualifications
Experience: A mid-to-senior level candidate with at least 2-3 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics.
BI Tools: Strong hands-on experience with Looker (LookML) and Tableau. Familiarity with data integration between BI tools is a plus.
Programming & Data: Proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, and ETL. A solid understanding of SQL (queries, joins, aggregations) is required.
Data Management: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, SQLServer) and basic understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines (Airflow, Talend, or similar).
Analytical & Business Skills: Proven ability to translate business needs into effective dashboards and reports. You should understand key business metrics (finance, sales, marketing, operations) and have experience in creating a self-service BI environment.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business teams. You must be a strong problem-solver, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
