Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
The Business Head, Tires Division is accountable for the overall leadership, performance and growth of LSH Group's tires business across Indonesia and Singapore. The role owns the end-to-end regional operating model — sales and marketing, customer service, technical and field services, and purchasing/warehouse/logistics — and is responsible for delivering revenue, profitability, service-quality and market-share targets while building organizational capability across a multi-site, multi-province footprint (including Jakarta, Balikpapan, Palembang, Semarang/Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan/Sulawesi). The role works in close coordination with Group leadership in Singapore and with Finance on cost control and business partnering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic & Business Leadership
- Own the regional business strategy and annual operating plan for the Tires Division across Indonesia and Singapore, aligned to Group objectives.
- Set and deliver regional revenue, margin, market-share and cost targets; report performance to Group Executive Leadership.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for market expansion, new dealer/fleet channels, and operational efficiency.
- Represent the Tires Division in Group-level planning, budgeting and business review forums.
2. Sales, Marketing & Customer Management
- Direct the Senior Manager, Regional Sales in managing Fleet Sales and Dealers & Retail teams across Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and other assigned territories.
- Guide the Marketing function (Group-wide remit) on brand positioning, promotional programs, and dealer/customer engagement initiatives.
- Oversee the Customer Service function to ensure service-level standards, complaint resolution and customer retention targets are met.
- Approve key account, dealer and fleet agreements within delegated authority.
3. Purchasing, Warehouse & Logistics
- Provide oversight of the Purchasing, Warehouse & Logistics function (Senior Manager level, Group-wide responsibility), ensuring supply continuity, inventory optimization and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Group COO, Singapore, on Group-wide purchasing policy and initiatives, given the function's dotted-line (functional) reporting relationship.
- Ensure logistics and warehousing operations across Jakarta, Palembang/Sumatra, Semarang/Java and Kalimantan/Sulawesi meet service and safety standards.
4. Technical & Field Services
- Direct the Manager, Technical & Field Services in delivering field engineering support, technical service standards and after-sales support across Sumatra and Java.
- Ensure technical service capability and resourcing (including temporary/shared coverage arrangements) meet business demand.
5. Financial Management & Cost Control
- Partner with the Finance Business Partner / Cost Controller (matrix relationship) to manage division P&L, budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
- Review and approve regional expenditure, pricing and investment proposals within delegated financial authority.
6. People Leadership & Organization Development
- Lead, coach and develop the five functional heads and their teams; build a strong succession and talent pipeline across all job grades (M1–M3, AM, E1–E2, NE).
- Plan and prioritize headcount requirements, including the current planned/vacant positions, in partnership with HR.
- Foster a high-performance, safety-conscious and customer-centric culture across all sites.
7. Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure divisional compliance with Group policies, applicable Indonesian and Singapore regulations, and relevant ISO management-system requirements.
- Act as the primary point of coordination between the Indonesia regional organization and Group leadership (COO's office) in Singapore.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including major dealers, fleet customers and suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in management & marketing majoring in Accounting & Finance would be an advantage.
- Minimum 15- 20 years of progressive experience in the tires, automotive, or industrial distribution industry, including at least 5 years in a senior regional leadership role.
- Corporate experience from Chemicals, Automotive, Synthetic Rubber, Tires, Mining industry
- Polymer science and tires background, esp. technical and rubber compounding principles
- Experience in all these tire products - M/C, PCR, LT, TB, OTR, AG, IND
- Proven experience managing a multi-country / multi-site organization, Global and Regional experiences, especially Asia/Asean
- Demonstrated track record in sales and P&L ownership, dealer/distributor management, and cross-functional leadership (sales, marketing, service, supply chain).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian labor and commercial regulations; working knowledge of Singapore business practices.
- Speak, read and write fluent English and Chinese (Chinese clients)
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly within Indonesia and to Singapore.
- Compensation will be commensurate with the market and will be based on the hiring location.
