About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Director to lead major client partnerships, drive business growth, and oversee multidisciplinary teams across Indonesia. This role requires a strategic, relationship-driven leader who understands how modern brands grow through social-first ideas, integrated communications, and culturally relevant storytelling.
As the senior point of contact for key accounts, you will guide strategic direction, elevate creative ambition, ensure operational excellence, and unlock long-term opportunities. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of client leadership, commercial management, strategic thinking, and team development, with deep knowledge of Indonesia's dynamic consumer landscape and digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Growth
- Serve as the senior partner to clients, leading overall business direction and strategic conversations
- Build and sustain strong C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships
- Lead annual planning, quarterly reviews, and long-term brand roadmap discussions
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and support regional expansion
- Ensure high client satisfaction, retention, and organic revenue growth
Strategic & Creative Leadership
- Guide marketing, content, and campaign strategies across always-on and integrated initiatives
- Collaborate with Strategy and Creative teams to develop culturally relevant, platform-native ideas
- Ensure work meets business objectives and measurable KPIs
- Drive strategic clarity while championing creative excellence
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and grow account teams; foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance
- Oversee staffing, project scoping, and team resourcing across accounts
- Partner with internal teams (Creative, Strategy, Media, Production, PM/CP, etc.) to ensure seamless delivery
- Establish clear ways of working and support continuous operational improvements
Commercial & Financial Management
- Manage revenue forecasting, profitability, and account financial health
- Drive scope development, contract negotiations, and budget planning
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies to improve delivery and margin
Qualifications & Experience
- 812+ years in account leadership, business management, or integrated marketing roles
- Strong experience leading major clients or portfolios in Indonesia
- Deep understanding of Indonesia's digital culture, social platforms, and consumer behavior
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long-term partnerships
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing large teams
- Strong commercial acumen with confidence in forecasting and financial oversight
- Fluent Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency preferred for regional collaboration
- Experience in sectors such as FMCG, tech, e-commerce, lifestyle, or entertainment is a plus
