Your Role in VT Markets
As the Business Development Team Lead, you will lead and develop a team of Business Development Executives while also maintaining individual contributor responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with the Indonesia marketing team and cross-functional departments to drive market expansion across Indonesia. Your critical impact will be establishing VT Markets as a leading presence through effective team leadership, strategic market development, and direct client acquisition that drives significant revenue growth and market penetration.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Job Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or financial services with at least 2-3 years in team leadership roles
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams while maintaining individual sales excellence
Technical and Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading platforms, and regulatory environment in Indonesia; FX knowledge is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and team management platforms
Soft Skills
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire and develop team members
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships across cultures and organizational levels
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with proven ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to travel within Indonesia region for campaign or event, team development, and market expansion activities
- Willingness to maintain both leadership responsibilities and individual contributor performance standards
Job Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Executives, providing coaching, performance management, and professional development support
- Market Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies for the Indonesia Market, identifying key opportunities and competitive positioning
- Team Development: Build team capabilities through training programs, best practice sharing, and performance optimization initiatives
- Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with our Forex products, market trends, and industry developments across Indonesia. Articulate the benefits of our services to clients and train team members
- Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed both individual and team sales targets by consistently delivering exceptional results and driving team performance
- Collaboration: Work closely with our research, marketing, and operation teams to ensure seamless client experiences and effective go-to-market strategies
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent for the business development team in alignment with company growth objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning sessions to ensure alignment with business goals
- Analyze market data and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and adjust tactics for optimal market penetration
- Represent VT Markets at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence in the Indonesia Market.
