Job Description

We're currently supporting a chemical manufacturing company, in their search for an experienced Business Development Specialist. This role partners closely with key stakeholders and plays a pivotal part in driving strategic initiatives across the organization. It is a project-based, high-impact opportunity suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and can adapt quickly to evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive direct sales growth across Indonesia by identifying and developing opportunities with industrial customers.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle — from prospecting, technical consultation, and quotation to closing and after-sales support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key end-users to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business.
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on training to customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and application support to resolve customer challenges.
  • Establish a strong direct customer base that will form the foundation for future distributor partnerships.
  • Identify and secure opportunities with high-value, complex industrial key accounts within Indonesia.
  • Represent the company at relevant trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events locally.
  • Conduct regular in-country travel to support distributors and end-users.
  • Build market knowledge and provide technical/commercial solutions in core industries including: Joinery/Woodworking, Flooring, HVAC, Composites, Transport, Construction, Roofing, Marine

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience
  • Possess own car transportation
  • Proven track record in industrial consumables or chemical sales; specific experience in the Woodworking or composite sectors will be a significant advantage
  • Manage own time and responsibilities independently and effectively.
  • Uphold and represent the company's Mission, Vision, and Values in all activities.
  • Deliver quality work, meet deadlines, and contribute to continuous business improvement.
  • Comply with employment contract and all internal procedures.
  • Maintain a team-oriented mindset and strong communication across all departments.
  • Professional working proficiency in English for reporting and internal meetings
