Business Development Officer

We are looking for a Business Development Officer who is passionate about sales, relationship-building, and business growth. This role will work closely with the Area Manager to ensure sales targets are consistently achieved while maintaining strong execution across the team.

Job Overview

In coordination with the Area Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring that all team members and team leaders pursue monthly targets effectively. The Business Development Officer will also support leaders in understanding and complying with company regulations, managing team documentation, and ensuring the Buddy Program is implemented in a structured and well-organized manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new sales leads across targeted industries
  • Pitch products and/or services to prospective clients
  • Conduct online research (especially via social media) to identify new leads and potential markets
  • Analyze client needs and identify key decision-makers within organizations
  • Establish initial contact with potential clients via email or phone and schedule meetings
  • Plan and support the execution of new marketing and business development initiatives
  • Monitor sales performance and support leaders in achieving monthly targets
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry-related events to expand business networks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in B2B sales (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with sales techniques, including cold calling
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets or quotas
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including data analysis and chart interpretation
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Industry & Market Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Strong network and understanding of the F&B industry
  • Experience and connections within Retail and Marketplace sectors
  • Exposure to Franchise and Multi-chain (Enterprise) businesses
  • Background in SaaS companies is a plus
