About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development & Marketing Manager to lead medical tourism outreach activities in Indonesia. This role focuses on driving patient referrals, expanding strategic partnerships, and establishing a local referral center to support end-to-end patient coordination.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building networks, growing markets, and creating business opportunities within the healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Patient Acquisition
- Develop and execute localized B2C and B2B marketing campaigns to promote healthcare specialties and services.
- Create patient education initiatives, lead generation funnels, and targeted outreach programs across digital, social media, and offline channels.
- Organize awareness events, webinars, and health talks to engage prospective patients and communities.
Partnership & Ecosystem Development
- Build and manage referral networks with clinics, general practitioners, specialists, and healthcare consultants.
- Collaborate with medical travel agents, insurance providers, corporate HR teams, and wellness partners to expand patient outreach.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic collaborations.
Referral Center Setup & Operations
- Lead the establishment and operational setup of a referral center in Jakarta or other strategic locations.
- Develop SOPs, coordinate staffing, and ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee patient coordination processes including appointment arrangements, pre-consultation support, and travel/documentation assistance.
- Train and supervise referral center staff to deliver excellent customer experience.
Digital Presence & Community Engagement
- Manage local social media activities and digital campaigns to increase visibility and patient inquiries.
- Localize branding and communication strategies for the Indonesian market.
- Coordinate with creative and content teams to develop engaging marketing materials.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and consumer trend analysis.
- Monitor campaign performance, referral trends, and patient feedback to optimize growth strategies.
- Prepare regular business and performance reports for regional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, marketing, healthcare, or medical tourism.
- Strong network within healthcare, clinics, hospitals, or medical tourism ecosystem is highly preferred.
- Experience setting up or managing referral/customer service operations is an advantage.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently and drive market growth.
- Excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and CRM tools is preferred.
