On behalf of one of the leading Oil & Gas service companies, we are looking for an experienced Sales & Project Manager Upstream Onshore to join the team in Jakarta.
This role is for someone who understands the Indonesian upstream onshore market and can combine technical knowledge, business skills, and strong connections with local operators.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sponsor Engagement
- Develop and maintain sponsor maps in the Indonesian market; establish and manage a 12-month tender cadence.
- Co-develop 30/60/90-day business development plans.
- Book and lead sponsor meetings; progress Letters of Intent (LOIs) with operators and local partners.
- Drive pre-qualification (PQ) submissions and support TKDN filings to secure market access.
Project Development & Implementation
- Lead the negotiation, contracting, and implementation of projects with operators, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial obligations, HSE standards, and liabilities.
- Oversee pilot scoping and align acceptance criteria with operators.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, from planning to execution and closure.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with operators, contractors, and internal teams (Contracts, QHSE, Finance, Accounts).
- Engage with decision-makers in Operations, Drilling/Well Services, HSE, and Procurement/Category functions.
- Lead discussions on PTW/JSA bridging and HSE culture alignment with clients.
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical & Commercial Integration
- Translate technical requirements into practical and cost-effective client solutions.
- Support service delivery in drilling, completions, production, and well services (Coiled Tubing, Slickline, Artificial Lift, Well Testing, Chemicals).
- Assess tenders for risks and ensure proper allocation of responsibilities.
- Ensure technical administration, documentation, and third-party coordination during project execution.
Best Practices & Team Leadership
- Match project team resources and expertise to project requirements.
- Promote ethical standards, compliance, and best practices across the team.
- Foster a collaborative environment to ensure client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certifications in Sales, Project Management, or Oil & Gas technical areas are a plus.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in upstream onshore oil & gas in Indonesia.
- Proven track record of influencing tenders, pilots, or awards.
- Hands-on experience in drilling, completions, and production operations from operator or vendor perspectives.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of onshore drilling/workover operations.
- Expertise in one or more service lines: Coiled Tubing, Slickline, Well Testing, Artificial Lift, Chemicals, Completions.
- Ability to align technical delivery with commercial and operational targets.
Soft Skills
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose client challenges and propose tailored solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Indonesian (fluent) and English (professional).
- Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration skills.
Computer Skills
- CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics).
