PERSOL Indonesia is currently assisting one of our clients from Multinational Chemical Manufacture who is looking for Business Development Executive (Technical Support & Market Analyst) to be placed in Sidoarjo with below responsibilities:
- Market Exploration & Intelligence
- Proactively explore and assess new markets, segments, and applications based on structured market analysis
- Gather and synthesize market, customer, and competitor intelligence to identify growth white spaces.
- Translate market insights into clear business hypotheses and opportunity frameworks.
- Opportunity Development & Market Entry
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities aligned with company capabilities and strategy.
- Design and execute market entry or expansion approaches, including pilot projects, partnerships, or new value propositions.
- Lead early-stage customer engagements to validate demand, value drivers, and commercial viability.
- Strategic Customer Engagement
- Engage senior customer stakeholders with high-quality business and solution conversations.
- Position the company as a solution partner, not just a supplier
- Drive structured discussions around value, differentiation, and long-term collaboration
- Internal Alignment & Commercial Shaping
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Technical, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to shape feasible and competitive business proposals.
- Translate customer and market needs into clear internal requirements (product, application, cost, capability).
- Support handover of validated opportunities to Sales teams for scaling.
- Communication & Influence Excellence
- Prepare and deliver clear, persuasive business cases, proposals, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Influence decision-making through data, logic, and structured storytelling.
- Represent the business professionally in strategic discussions, forums, or key customer meetings.
- Commercial Discipline & Governance
- Ensure BD initiatives are supported by sound assumptions, risk assessment, and financial logic.
- Track progress of BD initiatives and ensure learning, closure, or escalation.
- Maintain structured documentation of market insights and BD pipelines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree from any discipline (Engineering, Business, or Science preferred).
- 35 years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, Market Development, or similar B2B roles.
- Communicative in English is a must
- Proven track record in opening new markets, developing new applications, or launching new business initiatives.
- Experience in industrial, chemical, manufacturing, or technical B2B environments is highly preferred.
- Experienced to work in B2B Paint, Coating, Pigment/Colour Manufacture would be great advantage
- Strong knowledge in Technical Support & Application would be great advantage
