Job Description
The Business Development Specialist supports hotel development opportunities in Indonesia through business analysis, feasibility support, market research, and internal coordination. Working closely with senior leadership, the role supports informed decision making, manages deal pipelines, monitors market intelligence, and maintains developer relationships, including engagement with Chinese developers and investors, while gaining structured exposure to hospitality development with scope to take on broader responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support sourcing and evaluation of new lodging development opportunities in Indonesia (on a selective, analytical basis).
- Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and site analysis for hospitality projects.
- Assist in brand recommendations for owner sites based on market and project analysis.
- Prepare financial projections, feasibility summaries, and analytical materials.
- Support deal evaluation, due diligence reviews, and internal approvals.
- Coordinate across internal teams and external consultants for new projects.
- Maintain market intelligence, development pipelines, and project documentation.
- Support building and maintaining professional relationships with existing and potential partners, including Chinese developers, investors, and business stakeholders to support growth opportunities in Indonesia.
Requirements
- Fluency in English is required. Mandarin speaking proficiency is strongly preferred to support engagement with Chinese developers, investors, and business partners, and to facilitate access to opportunities within the Chinese market.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in hospitality, real estate/property, or management consulting (with a focus on real estate, hospitality, or strategy). Prior exposure to international hotel operators is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to support feasibility studies and financial analysis.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare structured analytical materials.
- Detail oriented, structured, and able to work collaboratively in a team based environment.
