Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Manager
Job Description
Job Descriptions:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop partnerships with fintech companies, banks, payment providers, KYC/eKYC providers, credit bureaus, data providers, communication platforms, collection solutions, and other technology/service providers relevant to the Company's lending business.
- Conduct market and vendor research to identify suitable providers based on business requirements, service capabilities, pricing, regulatory requirements, technical integration, and scalability.
- Manage initial discussions with potential partners, including product demonstrations, solution discussions, proposal reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Evaluate and benchmark potential vendors by comparing pricing, service coverage, technical capabilities, implementation requirements, and commercial terms, and provide recommendations to management.
- Translate the Company's business and operational requirements into clear partnership and vendor requirements, working closely with Product, IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to monitor the project until go live.
- Lead partnership discussions and negotiations to achieve competitive pricing, suitable commercial terms, and appropriate service scope for the Company.
- Coordinate the partnership process from initial sourcing and evaluation through due diligence, contracting, technical integration, UAT, and Go-Live.
- Maintain and manage relationships with existing partners and continuously identify alternative providers, new solutions, and business opportunities to support the Company's growth and market expansion.
- Maintain an up-to-date vendor and partnership pipeline, including commercial status, contract status, onboarding progress, integration status, and key outstanding actions.
- Support the Company's new market expansion by identifying and establishing relationships with key local financial, payment, technology, and operational partners required for market entry.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Commercial Banking, Lending, or B2B FinTech.
- Proven track record in developing B2B business opportunities, acquiring corporate clients, and building strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of corporate financing, lending products, or financial services.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities, map industries, and develop new business pipelines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers.
- Fluent in English.
- Mandarin-speaking ability is highly preferred, especially for candidates with experience handling Chinese-speaking clients or business partners.
- Experience working with banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, e-commerce platforms, or other B2B businesses is preferred.
