We are looking for a
Business Control professional for a tech conglomerate client to partner closely with Finance, Project, and Commercial teams in supporting large-scale development. This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong financial discipline, transparent performance tracking, and effective risk management across the project lifecycle.
What Youll Do
Drive Financial Performance
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against plan, identifying key variances, risks, and value improvement opportunities.
- Provide clear insights and recommendations to support management and CFO-level decision-making.
Capex, Budget & Cost Governance
- Oversee budgets, costs, and capital deployment to ensure alignment with approved investment cases.
- Track project spend, assess deviations, and support corrective actions to protect financial outcomes.
Risk & Control Management
- Proactively identify financial, commercial, and operational risks across projects and operations.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place and issues are escalated with practical mitigation plans.
Governance & Compliance
- Support adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Strengthen financial controls across procurement, contracts, and project execution.
Reporting & Management Information
- Develop concise dashboards, reports, and performance analyses for senior management.
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Strategic & Ad-hoc Support
- Partner with the CFO on special projects, deep-dive analyses, and time-sensitive initiatives related to performance improvement and strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or MRICS are a strong advantage.
- Solid grounding in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Hands-on exposure to capital projects, construction contracts, or infrastructure-related environments.
- Familiar with procurement processes, cost control, and ERP or financial systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect numbers to business reality.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, project-driven environment, pragmatic.
- Demonstrated ability to guide, influence, and develop finance professionals.
