Job Description

Role Objective: To build, protect, and enhance the company's public image and brand reputation. This role focuses on external communications, media relations, and strategic community building to maximize brand awareness and foster brand loyalty.

Job Description (Responsibilities)

  • Team Leadership & Management: Guide and oversee the daily activities of the PR and Community Partnership team members. Set clear objectives, provide mentorship, and ensure external communication strategies align with the overarching brand vision.
  • Public Relations Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive PR campaigns. Oversee the drafting and distribution of press releases, media pitches, and corporate statements to secure positive media coverage.
  • Media & Influencer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, industry influencers (KOLs), and key opinion leaders to amplify brand messaging.
  • Community & Partnership Development: Supervise the outreach and relationship management with external communities, organizations, and potential brand partners. Oversee sponsorships, co-branding initiatives, and community events.
  • Brand Reputation & Crisis Management: Monitor brand sentiment across public channels. Act as the primary point of contact for external communication during public relations crises, ensuring swift and appropriate responses to protect the brand's image.
  • Event Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of brand-building events, such as press conferences, media gatherings, and community meetups.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Measure the effectiveness of PR and partnership efforts. Track metrics such as PR Value, Share of Voice (SOV), media impressions, and partnership ROI, reporting these insights to the Brand Marketing Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or Brand Partnerships, with at least 12 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Technical & Professional Skills: * Proven track record of successful media relations and securing media placements.
  • An existing network of media contacts and community leaders is highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of crisis communication protocols and reputation management.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze media coverage reports and evaluate the business impact of community partnerships.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (bilingual proficiency is often a plus, depending on your target market). Strong negotiation and public speaking abilities.
