Position Overview

Rx Sciences Sdn Bhd is seeking aBookkeeperto manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping and support the companys accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in bookkeeping or accounting, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. This role requires the ability to maintain financial records, process transactions, prepare reports, and support overall finance functions in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should also possess good problem-solving skills, integrity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare and process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

Financial Analysis:

• Analyse financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed recommendations.
• Prepare financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial health.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and file tax returns (corporate, income, sales, etc.).
• Advise on tax planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of financial data.
• Prepare a full set of accounts/financials.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Auditing:

• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Respond to audit queries and provide necessary documentation.

Leadership

• Manage and guide bookkeepers and strategies with them on the most effective ways to solve accounting matters.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimal 3 years of experience in accounting and finance department.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, or SAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
