About the Role
The Strategy & Distribution Associate partners closely with the AVP of Distribution Strategy to drive strategic initiatives, commercial performance, and execution excellence across the Bancassurance business. Acting as the AVP's right-hand person, this role transforms complex business challenges into actionable insights, develops executive-ready materials, manages strategic projects, and ensures key initiatives are executed effectively.
This role requires a combination of strong analytical capability, commercial thinking, structured problem-solving, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategy & Business Performance
- Analyze sales performance and identify drivers of growth and productivity.
- Develop forecasts, business scenarios, and performance projections.
- Build manpower and productivity models to support business planning.
- Evaluate strategic initiatives and quantify business impact.
- Recommend opportunities to improve distribution effectiveness and profitability.
Sales Incentives & Compensation
- Support the design and evaluation of sales incentive campaigns.
- Build financial models to estimate campaign ROI and cost effectiveness.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Assist in compensation and reward scheme analysis.
Financial & Commercial Analysis
- Prepare business cases for new initiatives.
- Analyze distribution expenses including incentive costs, travel, and entertainment budgets.
- Track budget utilization and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Support annual planning and target-setting exercises.
Executive Reporting
- Develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
- Translate complex datasets into clear executive insights.
- Build dashboards and performance reporting tools.
Project Management
- Coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Track milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely execution.
- Prepare meeting materials and document action items.
Data & Automation
- Build and maintain Excel models with advanced formulas.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across reports.
- Maintain documentation of analytical models.
Job Requirements:
- Education – A bachelor's degree at minimum
- 3–6 years of experience in strategy, consulting, business planning, commercial finance, sales planning, or analytics.
- Experience in insurance, banking, financial services, FMCG, or management consulting is preferred.
- Exposure to Bancassurance or sales distribution is an advantage.
