We&aposre seeking a skilled Backend + Machine Learning/AI Engineer to help shape and scale this vision.
Role Description
- Build and maintain backend systems to support scalable, secure data processing
- Design and implement APIs for frontend and mobile apps
- Work with structured and unstructured data from various sources
- Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models for features like:
- Personalized recommendations
- User behavior prediction
- Lead scoring / ranking / matching logic
- Optimize model performance and inference speed
- Collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams to integrate ML solutions into the product
- Maintain documentation, tests, and performance benchmarks
- Deploy ML pipelines to production using cloud infrastructure
Tech Stack
- Backend: Python (FastAPI, Django), Node.js, or similar
- ML/AI: Python (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
- DevOps: Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure, GitHub Actions
- Data Pipelines: Pandas, NumPy, Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- APIs & Integration: REST, GraphQL, third-party APIs
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- 12+ years experience in ML/AI engineering or applied data science
- Proficiency in Python for data and backend work
- Familiarity with ML lifecycle: data cleaning model training evaluation deployment
- Experience with model deployment in production environments
- Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and cloud deployment
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions
Nice to Have
- Experience building recommendation systems or matchmaking algorithms
- Familiarity with NLP (e.g., sentence embeddings, transformers)
- Knowledge of real estate, marketplace, or matchmaking tech domains
- Startup or SaaS experience
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Computer Science principles
- Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques
- Proficiency in Algorithms and Statistics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with real estate industry data is a plus
- A master&aposs degree will be an asset, or higher, in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
