SBG operates across banking, insurance, retail (FMCG), healthcare, education, and AI, managing complex, multi-track product and engineering initiatives. We’re hiring a Backend Engineer with strong logic, structured coding habits, and production-grade experience in Java.
Work Setup:

- Location: Mayapada Tower 1, Jakarta
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java (Spring Boot) for banking-grade systems
- Develop and integrate APIs consumed by Kony Fabric (Integration Services, Object Services, Orchestration)
- Build stable RESTful contracts, data mappings, validations, and error handling for enterprise workflows
- Implement authentication and authorization flows aligned with banking requirements (token-based auth, roles, session policies)
- Handle integration patterns including API-to-API, file-based exchange (CSV/XML + documents), and middleware communication
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, indexing, and caching to support production performance
- Implement observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing, and incident-ready troubleshooting
- Work with mobile/Kony teams to align payload design, versioning, backward compatibility, and release gates
- Support SIT/UAT cycles, handle defect triage, and deliver production releases with controlled change management
Requirements:
- 3–6 years experience in backend development using Java (Spring Boot preferred)
- Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, validation, and reliability patterns (retry, idempotency, timeout)
- Experience integrating with enterprise/banking systems and working with strict UAT/approval processes
- Comfortable working with Kony Fabric teams and adapting services to Fabric integration/orchestration patterns
- Proficiency with AWS (EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong SQL skills, database design, indexing, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with security fundamentals: OAuth2/JWT, encryption basics, secure secrets handling
- Structured debugging mindset and ability to handle production incidents with clear root-cause analysis
