The Mid Azure DevOps Consultant supports the implementation and operation of DevOps and cloud automation solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on hands-on delivery—Terraform-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and documentation—working under the guidance of senior consultants and architects.

Key Responsibilities
DevOps Strategy & Leadership
- Lead DevOps and cloud automation initiatives across enterprise Azure environments.
- Conduct DevOps maturity assessments and define improvement roadmaps (process, tooling, people).
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, engineering leads, and architects.
- Mentor mid-level engineers and promote DevOps best practices.
CI/CD & Automation
- Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML-based).
- Define branching strategies, release management, approval gates, and rollback mechanisms.
- Integrate IaC, application build, security scanning, and validation into pipelines.
Infrastructure as Code & Platform Engineering
- Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules for Azure (networking, compute, storage, security, governance).
- Enforce environment consistency using Terraform state management and standards.
- Contribute to Azure platform engineering design (subscriptions, landing zones, shared services).
Security, Governance & DevSecOps
- Implement and standardize RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and identity controls.
- Embed security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support regulated-industry security and audit requirements.
Observability & Resilience
- Enable Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, dashboards, and action groups.
- Define operational readiness including backup, DR, and RPO/RTO validation.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Produce architecture diagrams, CI/CD runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
- Work closely with application, security, network, and operations teams.
Qualifications
Skills & Experiences
- 7+ years experience in DevOps / Cloud / Platform Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (compute, networking, identity, security, storage, monitoring).
- Expert-level Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, artifacts, boards).
- Strong Terraform experience (modules, state, CI/CD integration).
- Scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash.
- Experience in Consulting & Delivery
- Client-facing experience in solution design and delivery.
- Ability to lead discussions, workshops, and technical decision-making.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Certifications in Microsoft ; At least one Azure certification (or commitment to obtain)
- AZ-400: Microsoft Certified – DevOps Engineer Expert (or commitment to obtain).
