Job Description

Role Purpose

Lead the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end telecommunications (Telco) security architectures covering 4G, 5G, Core Network, and Edge infrastructures. The role ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Telco systems and services by aligning security solutions with business objectives, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements. The AVP acts as a principal architect and trusted advisor, driving innovation, resilience, and Zero Trust principles across Telco domains, including network slicing, IoT, and cloud-native environments.

Following points capture the key responsibilities of the individual:

  1. Architect and implement Telco-grade security frameworks for 4G/5G Core, RAN, Transport, and Edge infrastructures.
  2. Integrate security across virtualization layers (NFV, SDN) and cloud-native network functions (CNFs).
  3. Define and implement Zero Trust Architecture and 3GPP/ETSI-aligned network protection strategies.
  4. Collaborate with Network Engineering, Cloud, and IT teams to embed security by design in Telco services and operations.
  5. Evaluate and deploy advanced Telco security solutions including signaling security, API protection, and network anomaly detection.
  6. Perform threat modeling and risk assessment for Telco systems, ensuring proactive mitigation of DDoS, signaling, and supply chain threats.
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (Kominfo RI, ISO 27011, NIST, GDPR, and telecom security standards such as GSMA NESAS).
  8. Drive innovation in Telco cybersecurity using AI/ML-based detection, automation, and threat intelligence sharing mechanisms.
  9. Lead vendor and third-party security assessments to ensure compliance with Telco-specific SLAs and zero trust interconnections.
  10. Champion a security-first culture and mentor internal teams on Telco security best practices and secure network design.
