About the Role

As Associate Director, Finance Business Partnering, you will be responsible for leading Finance Business Partnering across Ascott Indonesia's portfolio, overseeing the full finance cycle from planning, reporting, controls, treasury, tax, compliance, property finance execution, and owner reporting. Reporting to the Country Head of Finance, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the business while ensuring strong governance, operational discipline, and financial oversight across all properties.

The successful candidate will be a commercially minded finance leader with a strong track record in business partnering, portfolio finance management, operational finance oversight, stakeholder management, and team leadership within hospitality, serviced residences, real estate, or other multi-unit operating environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Finance Business Partnering across the Indonesia portfolio to drive portfolio performance, profitability, management fee generation, productivity, and cash flow optimization.
  • Act as a trusted finance advisor to Country Leadership, Property General Managers, and key business stakeholders on strategic and operational matters.
  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term planning, and monthly business review processes across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Operations, Commercial, Revenue Management, Development, Controllership, and Asset Management teams on business decisions, strategic initiatives, and investment evaluations.
  • Support hotel openings, contract transitions, business cases, capital expenditure planning, and owner discussions.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to property finance teams, ensuring effective execution of the full finance cycle across the portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures, management agreements, delegated authority requirements, internal controls, audit standards, and local statutory regulations.
  • Monitor financial performance across revenue, GOP, EBITDA, management fees, working capital, and cash flow while identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Strengthen governance, compliance, risk management, and audit readiness across the portfolio through effective financial oversight and control frameworks.
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives through automation, AI adoption, analytics, reporting enhancement, process improvement, and standardization.
  • Build strong relationships with property owners, senior leadership, regional finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives and owner requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance managers, Financial Controllers, and future finance leaders while strengthening succession planning and finance capability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Previous experience within hospitality, serviced residences, hotels, real estate, or other multi-unit operating environments is highly preferred.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent will be a significant advantage.
  • Proven experience overseeing multi-property or portfolio finance, including Finance Business Partnering and full finance cycle oversight.
  • Strong exposure to financial reporting, FP&A, treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax, statutory compliance, internal controls, audit, working capital management, and capital expenditure oversight.
  • Strong understanding of hotel performance metrics such as RevPAR, GOP, EBITDA, flow-through, productivity ratios, management fees, and owner returns.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Property General Managers, Financial Controllers, owners, regional finance teams, asset management, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, automation, analytics, or digital finance initiatives.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
