Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our Client Coverage team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting coverage team heads to originate, structure, and execute corporate advisory and capital market solutions for corporate clients. You will act as a pivotal bridge between clients, internal product teams, and external advisors to drive seamless deal completion and build lasting client relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Deal Execution & Advisory

  • Provide corporate advisory and related services to corporate clients.
  • Prepare compelling client pitch books, concept papers, presentation papers and deal mandates.
  • Support team heads in the project management, execution, and coordination of engagements.
  • Coordinate with external advisors (legal, tax, accounting) and client teams to ensure smooth transaction closing.

Client Coverage & Collaboration

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal product partners to offer optimal product solutions to clients.
  • Maintain and enhance close business rapport with clients and associates to ensure continuous business support.
  • Undertake market research and conduct detailed financial analysis/assessments on potential clients and deal opportunities.

Governance & Onboarding

  • Prepare internal risk assessments, internal memos and approval documentation.
  • Manage client onboarding (KYC/AML) and conduct periodic credit reviews in full compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), or Audit/Assurance.
  • Sound understanding of Malaysian capital markets, regulatory frameworks, and corporate banking products.
  • CFA charterholder or active progress toward CFA is highly advantageous.
  • Candidates holding a valid CMSRL for Advising on Corporate Finance are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and spoken fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
