About Our Client

Sereno Lombok Resort is a social wellness boutique hotel in South Lombok, near Selong Belanak and Torok Beach. Surrounded by hills, rice fields, and ocean, the resort combines boutique hospitality with wellness, nature, movement, creativity, and meaningful guest experiences under its philosophy, You are nature too.

The property features ocean-view accommodation, a rooftop infinity pool, restaurant and bar, yoga, garden and terrace spaces, and curated experiences inspired by the natural surroundings. What You Will Contribute

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in leading the restaurant team and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you will oversee assigned shifts, maintain service and hygiene standards, coordinate closely with the kitchen and resort departments, support staff training and scheduling, and respond effectively to guest needs and operational challenges. You will also assist with restaurant administration, inventory and stock control, POS and cash handling, cost management, and daily performance monitoring, while helping create a professional, welcoming, and efficient restaurant environment aligned with Sereno Lombok Resort's boutique hospitality concept.

What You Will Do

  • Support the Food & Beverage Manager in managing daily restaurant operations and service.
  • Act as the operational leader during assigned shifts and ensure smooth service execution.
  • Lead, supervise, motivate, and support the restaurant team during daily operations.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate menu updates, promotions, guest preferences, and operational priorities.
  • Ensure consistently high standards of service, hospitality, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation.
  • Welcome and engage with guests while ensuring their needs are anticipated and addressed professionally.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and escalate complex issues to the Food & Beverage Manager when required.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, Front Office, and other departments to ensure efficient service.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, grooming, discipline, and adherence to service standards.
  • Coach and train team members to improve service skills, product knowledge, and guest engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate manpower during different business periods.
  • Monitor table turnover, reservations, special requests, and overall service flow.
  • Support restaurant opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS operations, and daily reporting.
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in monitoring sales, revenue, food and beverage costs, wastage, and operational expenses.
  • Support inventory, stock control, ordering, and proper handling of restaurant supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant SOPs, food safety, hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Assist in implementing promotions, special events, wellness activities, and guest experiences.
  • Monitor restaurant facilities, equipment, and guest areas and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Provide daily operational feedback and recommendations to the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Step in for the Food & Beverage Manager when required and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve guest satisfaction, service efficiency, team performance, and restaurant profitability.

Who We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in restaurant, hotel, resort, or F&B operations, with previous supervisory or Assistant Restaurant Manager experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant and F&B service operations, preferably within a boutique hotel, resort, lifestyle, or wellness environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a diverse F&B service team during busy operations.
  • Strong guest service mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
  • Hands-on, energetic, and approachable leadership style.
  • Good understanding of restaurant service standards, SOPs, hygiene, and food safety.
  • Experience handling guest complaints and resolving service issues professionally.
  • Good knowledge of restaurant administration, including POS, cash handling, inventory, and basic cost control.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with guests and team members.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy service periods.
  • Ability to coach, train, and motivate team members.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving boutique resort environment.
  • Passion for wellness, lifestyle hospitality, nature, and creating meaningful guest experiences is an advantage.
  • Previous experience working in Lombok, Bali, or an island/remote destination is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and peak operating periods.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
